Motherhood: Nurture with Nature

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and this year it’s particularly special for me because for the first time I’m celebrating with my family as a new mama and joining the club. I’ve learned that as a mom, you naturally seek better and safer options for baby’s sensitive skin. In part of looking for the best of the best, I was so ecstatic to hear of Saje Wellness‘ launch of their new Baby Care line! If you’ve been following along on my journey (even before I was pregnant), you probably know how obsessed I am with Saje already. With the launch of Saje’s Baby Care line, I could barely keep it a secret until today!

I myself use natural products and have been so excited to be testing some of Saje’s natural products for Miles as well. Through the process of learning about Saje’s new products, I’ve come to understand that most of the baby care products out there lack 100% natural ingredients even if the product claims this and is labelled as such. However, Saje’s new Baby Care line is a 100% natural, and is gentle to use on baby’s sensitive skin. The products are as pure as can be with no toxins, no harmful synthetics and no artificial fragrances: just the gentleness of nature. Plus, can you believe that the adorable packaging is 100% recyclable?!

Miles generally doesn’t have major skin issues but he does get diaper rash often and rashes here and there which I’m always trying to figure out if it was something I ate and transferred in my breastmilk, or something I may have brought him into contact with. None the less, for the last few weeks I’ve been able to test out the new line and wanted to share my own experience with them. Saje’s new line includes products for mamas such as nipple cream and stretch mark minimizing cream, however, I’ll be focusing specifically on two of my favourite products for baby from the line.

Mini Mender I don’t know how this formula works but it does! Remember those rashes I told you about earlier? Miles will sometimes get them on different parts of his body. I’ve found this moisturizer to reduce redness, soothe the sensitive and problematic area and provide protection from further dryness. It contains calming Calendula, coconut, avocado and Olive Oils, beeswax with tiny traces of lavender and tea tree oils.

Sweet CheeksMiles gets diaper rash pretty often and I’ve tried using this to protect his sensitive bum and also to help heal it. I can honestly tell you that the redness is reduced and even goes away with this product! It makes me so happy to be using an all natural product around such a sensitive area. Made with ingredients like shea butter and soothing coconut and olive oils, I swear this diaper rash cream does wonders and smells amazing too!

I know from my own experience, that as a new mom, it’s always difficult to figure out what’s best for your baby and you. My experience with Saje’s new Baby Care line has made me rethink about all the other little experiences Miles will go through and what’s going into his body via my own breastmilk or even solids which he’ll be starting shortly. Natural is natural and if out of nature and nurture we can get the nature part taken care of, all that is left is to nurture baby.

I’d love to share these products with a mama and have teamed up with Saje to give you the entire line! Just head over to my Instagram feed and follow the instructions and you could win these just in time for Mother’s Day!
