Valentine’s Day Inspired Frames: Bailey Nelson

Ever since I’ve had to wear a pair of frames, I would try to avoid it at all costs. I always thought they made me look more “Asian” than I really was, or that they would make my face look too big. All these insecurities finally caught up to me when I took a little visit to the optometrist. You can guess what happened next. Yep, I needed to increase my prescription because my vision had worsened over the past several years. Lesson learned, always follow the doctor’s orders!

The good thing is frames are so much more affordable these days and come in so many different styles and colours thanks to companies like, Bailey Nelson. Since I needed an upgrade for a new pair of glasses, I recently stopped by the Bailey Nelson Store in Toronto. The store layout is made perfectly for you to try on different styles as you work your way through the store.

Bailey Nelson‘s price point and variety of styles is impressive. Starting at just $145 with prescription, I was tempted to snag more than a pair. I was also able to get the perfect fit for my face, starting with the right frame and by adding nosepads! Being Asian means sometimes you don’t got that nose bridge to hold your glasses in place or have it from pressing against your cheeks!

All in all, I opted for two frames. One for every day (pictured above) and another funky red pair for weekends. Like earrings, frames are accessories for your face and can be worn to change up any look. With frames so reasonably priced, I couldn’t resist having options. Thanks for helping a girl see the world as it should be, in style for less @Bailey Nelson!
