City Guide Food Review

Over the weekend, I checked out the newly opened Phase 1 of TASTE MRKT at Scarborough Town Centre. With a massive $37 million dollar  (yes you read that correctly…$37 million) renovation, the new TASTE MRKT features international cuisines and showcases the diversity of Toronto all in one food court!

The space itself is bright and beautiful, perfect for a foodie’s photo op! The architectural glass ceiling is a beautiful modern upgrade to the space and invites visitors to stay a little bit longer and enjoy their time between shopping.

Phase 1 of TASTE MRKT features over 20 quick service food brands – both classic and new. After taking a quick look around the food court, my friend and I opted for some Parisian inspired lunch at Brioche Dorée!

My friend and I decided to share the spinach omelet croissant, ham & cheese (Parisian style) baguettes, almond croissants, and lemon and raspberry tartlet with coffees (of course). Our fave out of all the items was the spinach omelet croissant because really anything with a croissant is always a good idea.

With the new TASTE MKRT and variety of stores at Scarborough Town Centre, I’ll be making another trip to check out other food vendors such as MII Sandwich Co very soon!
